BELLES PASS IT ON

Today, we have a new one for you from Brighton-based band Belles. ‘Pass It On’ is the latest piece of upbeat-yet-moody indie pop from the four-piece, which is built on sparkly synth keys and a chunky percussion paying tribute to the band’s retro muses like The Cure, Tears For Fears and New Order. Speaking about the track, frontman George Clark tells us that “Pass It On means a lot to us as a band. It’s nice to able to reflect upon the fact that the problems we face daily often aren’t as deep as we think. We hope that people listening to the song can share this feeling with us. This was also our first venture into writing a track with a pop direction in mind, which has been a really fun process.” Tonight the band are heading to London for a gig at The Grace before swooping back on down to Brighton and then to Portsmouth for even more live gig action. Check out those dates here. - Hannah Thacker
